I really hope it becomes possible to rescue the data from the site. Surely there were a hundred thousand posts. Wonderful raw material for a PhD on social media archaeology. A case study in how to start with a population of 35,000 and end up with one crazy guy on a desert island arguing with himself about whether we should have picked the team.

Cheers Paul, that's pretty much the story..........................so far. Next up: MyFC rises off the ashes and takes a share in Slough TFC as membership grows and finances increase. Fan ownership will come again!

I have now registered for the forum. So what next?
"Never doubt that a small group of committed people (or footie fans) can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." I'm quoting Margaret Mead, as the hard working "small group of committed people" that still manage to keep MYFC running prove this to be true.
The time for this type of fan ownership will come again and we have certainly seen the rise in fan groups having the courage to try and follow the MYFC model.
In the end we left Ebbsfleet United FC a better place for having owned them; helping get them to a winning Wembley final, saw them promoted not once, but twice and then gave them away, in order to give the club a brighter future. Our sponsorship of Slough Town FC, although on a much smaller scale. continues that tradition.
I for one am proud to be one of the 220 members still standing.
Cheers to the other 219.
