Wednesday sees the rebels travel to Somerset looking for their first ever win at the Blindmans Brewery Stadium, home of Frome Town. The 2 sides met earlier in the league at Holloways Park on the first game of the season, which finished 0-0, and in November in the FATrophy where Frome were victorious 2-1.
Slough are currently unbeaten away in the league in 2016 but will find the game very hard as 21st placed Frome are trying to stay in the league and also all 3 previous league meetings between the two have all ended as draws. Slough's last defeat away was at the hands of Weymouth back in December but will face a side that has won it's last 2 home games beating Chippenham and Biggleswade. Frome's record is hampered by postponements which means they have only played 15 matches at home so far although they have only won 5 of those home encounters.
Slough will more than likely be without defensive lynchpin Guy Hollis due to work commitments. If selected Ed Smith will make his 150th appearance for the rebels looking to increase his way up the all time goal scorers here he sits 10th equal on 95 goals.
As long as i get there on time there should be a Rebels Radio broadcast found in the usual place.

Weather warning in place for extreme rain Wednesday morning, so there could be a good chance of a flooded pitch

Perhaps the gods were protecting me but when I clicked on the Rebels Radio commentary link, I got the message "This video contains content from UMG_MK, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." Is there a problem?
This also happens if you search directly on Youtube. I did try successfully to listen to some older (random) matches so something must have changed?
I have just googled UMG_MK and it seems they have a reputation for making false music copyright claims. Maybe we have done something to upset them?

Yep. From played two Beatles songs at half time, whichcould be heard in the background, so UMG_UK, who religiously search for these things, blocked it through breach of copyright. So that's how they remember George Martin!

On a cold evening in Somerset a depleted Rebels side battled against Frome Town , who are trying so avoid relegation, on a pitch which looked good but cut up although not as bad as the previous meeting back in November. Guy Hollis was unavailable, new signing Tom Williams had a hamstring injury, Ed Smith was at family emergency and Leigh Rumbold was not fit, Slough resorted to having Neil Baker on the bench with Scott Harris partnering Hicks in defence and Warren Harris upfront with Barney while Frome lost Davies in the warm up , both teams were not at full strength.
An uneventful first 20 minutes, the only highlight was the battle between Page and Hicks, was punctured by a goal from Frome centre back HULBERT, whose run into the box was found by a deflected pass from Hobbs, who fired past the on rushing Scott 1-0. Almost immediately from kick off Frome won the ball and surged past a static Slough defence but this time Scott saved well from Fitzgibbon.
On 27 minutes Slough were back in the game when Dhillon was fouled just outside the box , LEWIS PUTMAN stepped forward firing his free kick into the wall but the ball spun past a mesmerised keeper, floating into the top corner of the goal 1-1. The sides then traded chances as Hulbert placed wide and Gokmen turned on a Barney cross from the byline but fired the wrong side of the post. Barney had the last chance of the first half but his effort was saved well after good work from Warren Harris, HALF TIME 1-1.
The second half started like the first, slowly but Slough were finding their feet on the tricky surface, Barney again doing well laying a cross into the path of W.Harris who hit it on the run but Chitty saved fantastically. Chitty again did well ,firstly saving from W.Harris and then turning a good Barney effort around the post. Slough were working well and Hope hit wide from 20 yards but will be disappointed he didn't hit the target. A free kick for Frome on the half way line saw the home side pile everyone into the box but to the amazement and disbelief of the entire crowd left back and captain TEALE aimed into the box and saw his effort sail over the head of Scott, who was hopelessly stranded in no mans land, and nestled into the back of the net 2-1. Slough then had all the play, although the goal wasn't really against the run of play the Rebels had the better of the chances, with efforts from Parsons, Putman and Hicks all failing to find the target but Scott almost gifted Frome a 3rd goal. Hicks won the ball near his own corner area and instead of clearing the ball passed it to Scott, who took an extra touch allowing Jackson the chance to close him down , but as the ball was squirming towards the goal S.Harris slide in to divert the ball FULL TIME 2-1.
